​Postural Restoration Style

Beth teaches Pilates integrating Postural Restoration. Pilates focuses on the core (particularly the transverse abdominis) and Postural Restoration is at the cutting edge of our scientific understanding of the body and its asymmetries and how the diaphragm and its health can help balance and heal our bodies. Pilates Postural Restoration Style will give your body a workout that helps heal your body rather than adding more stress to it. 

Fun Fact: The transverse abdominis (the main muscle we focus on in Pilates) is also known as the "corset muscle," or in modern times your tight jeans muscle, because it gets smaller as you flex it, making those corsets/jeans go on easier.
